Responsibilities and Duties:

Creating 2D and 3D drawings/models of assemblies and parts.

· Design or make modifications to complex models from general written or verbal specifications from Group Leader.

· Produce CAD outline and detail drawings for products using industry, departmental and discipline standards including:

• Construction drawings for Mechanical, and Electrical
• Heat exchanger assemblies,
• Pressure Vessels complying with ASME pressure vessel code Section VIII.
• Piping and instrument diagrams.
• Process Flow Diagrams
• Details of machined parts

· Work with other team members to obtain reference information for drawings.

· Collaborates with team and contributes to establishing timelines, budgets, and solutions for projects.

· Ensures the project adheres to set schedule and is meeting goals of the client/deadlines.

• Creating and managing Bill of Materials
• Interaction with manufacturing vendors regarding design issues
• Work with project management to ensure products are produced to required specifications
• Additional tasks that may be requested:
• Travel to manufacturing facility
• Inventory management
• Scheduling of project meetings

Experience, Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum five years’ experience with the mechanical design responsibilities listed above.
• Use with formal training for the following engineering and design software (in order or preference):
• Familiarity with 3D systems (Inventor or Solidworks 2019 or newer)
• 2D software (AutoCAD 2019 or newer preferred)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
• Engineering LOM creation
• Pipe and vessel design a plus
• Understanding of weld symbol a plus
• Be able to work in an environment with open discussions and visitors without getting distracted.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
